Walter F. Rodriguez is an artist and the owner of the Seen Shop, with over two decades of experience in the arts. Since 2015, he’s worked with Family Intervention Services (Now part of the Center for Family Services) on their Mending Arts program, providing art therapy to at-risk youth in traumatic situations including children in families where there has been court-mandated separation for the child’s safety, at a Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter (JBWS) shelter, and the Morris County Juvenile Detention Facility. He’s developed curricula that focus on developing healthy relationships with friends and family to create a powerful personal support system; coping with trauma and painful life changes; learning to find, accept, and value the core of oneself in an often-challenging world, and more.
